HP Mini 2140 Netbook With 10.1 Inch LED Wide Screen

CES 2009 is bring some great stuff, another launching is been listed by HP, the company is going to introduce the Mini 2140, an updated Mini-Note 2133 version, with a 10.1 inch LED backlit screen. Apple's aluminum unibody manufacturing technology seems to have inspired a lot of the notebook makers, it weighs 2.6 pounds.

The new machine is featuring a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom processor unlike the Mini-Note 2133, which install a 1.2 GHz via C7-M processor. This Intel Atom processor to enable the unit to run cooler, use less power and improve battery life. Hp Mini 2140 consist a large 10.1 inch diagonal scratch-resistant HP Illumi-Lite LED display HD quality with a 16:9 aspect ratio offering standard definition (1024 x 576) or high definition (1366 x 768) pixel resolutions.

The HP Mini 2140 offers storage options of a 80 GB SSD or a 160 GB HDD. HP DuraKeys featuring a clear coating applied all over the keyboard of notebook which protects the finish and printed letters and characters. HP 3D DrvieGuard, featuring a three-axis digital accelerometer chip that send a signal to shut down the hard drive if computer undergoes a sudden movement or shock.

It also offers the user a choice of operating system such as the Window Vista or SuSE Linux or FreeDOS. Keeping thing notebook a lightweight machine, it consist of netbook packs in a three-cell battery and for operations which requires a longer battery life a six-cell battery option is also available.

The HP Mini 2140 incudes a suite of wireless technologies such as integrated Wi-Fi certified WLAN and optional Bluetooth 2.0, allows to access Internet anywhere user have Wi-FI access. An integrated VGA webcam allows for easy still-image capture, web conferencing.

The Mini 2140 has a full ExpressCar/54 slot unlike Lenovo S10's small ExpressCard/34 slot.

Currently, HP Mini 2140 priced at $500 (Rs. 24,000 approx.), Mini 2140 is expected later this month.
